Reliable accommodation at a reasonable price. We actually stay in quite a few Holiday Inn Express hotels.The breakfast is that usual American nastiness that makes you gag a bit. Unfortunately there is nothing Quebecois about the offering.The only disappointment about this hotel so far is that bathroom has a bathtub rather than a stand up shower. The newer Holiday Inn Express constructions have only a stand up shower and this makes much more sense than having a bathtub.There is an abundance of electric car charging stations and the breakfast is pretty good.
This place has lovely decor. The pool is warm. Breakfast is as expected for free continental. My biggest complaint was the room was dirty. The floor had lots of hair and debris, the pillows and sheets had hair on them, there was hair in the tub, the closet looked like it hadnt been cleaned at all. Housekeeping needs improvement. The room also needed some repairs.
Stayed here 1 night for business. The front desk staff we very polite and welcoming. Very helpful that they were fully bilingual as my French is horrible. My room was clean, bright, and very new looking. The pool was a bit small but nice overall. Breakfast had both hot and cold options which worked for me. The coffee was decent and there is a Starbucks about a 3 minute walk away. I will definitely be staying here in the future.
1 Star is actually generous!!!!Here for Softball Nationals, 17 rooms booked in this hotel. Horrible service and maid service is pretty much non existence.We have been here for 5 days, our floors have not being swept, we have ants in 4 rooms, we have to ask for towels everyday, 5 rooms have run out of toilet paper and have to go to front desk, sheets have not been changed, they come in every 2nd day and make a bed! 1 rooms air conditioner and fridge do not work properly.We have spoken to the front desk NUMEROUS times and they have not resolved ANY of the issues. I actually was able to get the hotel manager tonight, so we will see if anything gets better for the rest of our stay. DO NOT recommend this hotel at all!!!!No laundry, no shuttle
On May 30, 2017, I checked in to Holiday Inn Express (HIE) in Montreal, QC . At check in, HIE- Montreal QC informed me there was a high incidences of truck thefts and was caring and conscientious to provide a tire boot service on my vehicle. Needless to say I was impressed that HIE would go to such a measure to protect my personal property- WOW, I have never had that offer anywhere in Canada nor the United States. The following night I checked in to HIE in Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC (JUST 29km away!!!). When I checked in and requested the same service, I was told it was not available and there had been no thefts at this property. I am thoroughly disappointed HIE as a group would not offer this at all their properties in the district. Common sense tells me if HIE locks down their one property, thieves will expand their reach and target the next closest HIE property. Frankly, by HIE-Montreal recognizing that there was an auto theft problem in the region, HIE has established a duty-of-care it should have provided to all its guests in the region. I suffered tremendous personal loss. The least HIE could do was offer me some bonus points for free nights stay. When I wrote and asked, I did not even get a response.
